Even so, there are ways for a person to favour his or her baby gender choice in life. In order to be at your most fertile, you need to take care of yourself, stay healthy and practice a good lifestyle. Both women and men have hormonal cycles which determine when a woman can achieve pregnancy and a man is most virile. Women should time their ovulation period as it is at the most fertile days of their cycle. Men can ejaculate and produce sperm at any time of the month, but their sperm quality dips occasionally, which scientists guess is in relation to their internal cycle.

You need to get healthy ahead of time. In order to increase the chances to conceive, it is useful to apply these dos and don’ts of pregnancy in your life

Dos

o Start taking prenatal vitamins and have yourself looked over by a doctor. If you have noticed any irregularities with your monthly cycles, talk to them about it now. o Try to remove stress from your life and take good care of your body. You'll be asking it to undergo a great task over the next nine months and you owe it to yourself and your future child to be as healthy as possible

Dos and don’ts of pregnancy leads to conceiving a healthy baby child in your life but it is not guarantee which gender it will be. Since the Y-chromosome (boy) sperm is more fragile and doesn’t live long, lifestyle measures are more applicable to conceive a boy rather than a girl. For conceiving a girl, a perfect meal plan for pregnancy is ideal as it controls the pH level in your vagina for each type of gender.

These are a few things that you can do in conceiving a boy:

o The male partner should wear comfortable, cooler underwear such as boxers instead of briefs to avoid overheating of the testes. Heat can play a role in lowering sperm count especially to the fragile Y-chromosome sperm, which have lesser count than X-chromosome.

o Avoid smoking, drugs and alcohol. For male partner especially, since the Y-chromosome sperm needs to be abundant to increase your chances of having a boy, smoking should be avoided as it can easily kills off the fragile Y-chromosome sperm.

o For male partner, drinks a cup of caffeinated beverage such as coffee or soda before intercourse as it makes the Y-chromosome sperm more energetic.

o Researchers have found that eating a higher amount of calories has increased chances of having a baby boy. Put on a little weight and eat well. Be sure to eat enough of all the necessary nutrients though, as too much or too little of anything is never good.

A complex biological process such as this surely will come along with a lot of dos and don’ts of pregnancy. I can assure you that these tips are very useful to your life in pregnancy. Follow it and you can conceive a healthy baby as well as your dream gender to be. Remember, no matter what gender your child ends up being, the important thing is that they are healthy and happy.

Whelan Method - An Overview

Whelan Method is another all-natural method to get your dream baby gender but it is the opposite of the Shettles Method. Dr. Elizabeth Whelan, developed this method in her book “Boy or Girl” believing that your chances for conceiving a baby girl is much better when it is done as close to ovulation as possible. This is a timed intercourse method for gender selection, which is similar to the Shettles method. This is a simple and easy method to use, but many experts do not agree with this method or the Shettles method claiming there are flaws but they both have one thing in common. Timing is the key to your dream baby gender.

Which method should we choose? The accuracy rate with gender selection with the Whelan Method is around 68 percent correct for boy babies and 57 percent correct for girl babies. However, without any type of baby gender selection, it is likely to be a 50/50 chance for most parents and most experts believe this method is close to it. It also promises a rate that is slightly lower than the Shettles Method giving an edge for most couples using Shettles Method.

The concept behind gender selection with the Whelan Method is to have intercourse four to six days before your basal body temperature goes up if you desire a boy and two to three days before you ovulate for a girl. Trying different positions along with the times may in fact also raise the accuracy. Moreover, they are free, safe, and all you have to do is take your temperature and watch the dates on the calendar.

With the Whelan Method explained, it is good to be true or it is just a fallen out method. With a major critics on her recommended times of having intercourse is too far away from when you could possibly get pregnant at all, people tend to use Shettles Method instead. Judging the accuracy of Whelan’s book is difficult since fewer couples used them. Some couples even find that it makes no scientific sense and decide to go with Shettles. However, people who choose to follow the Whelan Method usually tend to combine other natural methods as well with timing to increase their chances of success.

Tips For Conceiving A Girl

In most of the couples who really want a baby so bad, some might just desire to have a baby of specific gender whether it is a boy or a girl. Having three boys in the family and wanting a daughter for a change or even plan to have two kids, one of each own gender. It may seem sceptical or impossible, but there are several natural techniques that can increase the likelihood of conceiving the gender of your choice. With a little edge on conceiving a girl of your choice, I’m sure you will be happy to follow these 3 easy steps.

If we look back at the differences of chromosomes in the sperm, we will know that the X-chromosome sperm are responsible in conceiving a girl. These sperm are slower but live longer. Therefore, there are few ways that you can do to ensure that these X-chromosome will fertilize with the egg to result in a girl.

Preconception diet

This is important to keep an ideal environment for the X-chromosome to fertilize. By having a proper preconception diet, it can give the right pH level in your body for fertilization to occur in conceiving a girl. The perfect environment is to have it acidic. Suggested foods are broccoli, apples and grapefruit, oranges, lemon and dairy products.

Calculate ovulation

Timing when you ovulate and intercourse is the key here. Just to give time for the Y-chromosome sperm to die off, it is ideal to have intercourse two to three days before ovulation. With the X-chromosome sperm lived the longest, it can remain in your body as soon as the egg drops from your ovary for fertilization.

Positions to conceive a girl

Shallow penetration is ideal here. This is again to let the Y-chromosome sperm dies off, and by making it longer journey to the egg, it will expires in time leaving X-chromosome to fertilize in conceiving a girl. Therefore, positions such as missionary are best for this but any position that offers shallow penetration is alright.

Orgasm

It is recommended that women should not orgasm first in conceiving a girl. This is because when orgasm, secretions will change the pH level to more alkaline environment where in this case it is suitable when having a boy. By not getting orgasm first will leave the cervix to be acidic and again, killing the Y-chromosome sperm that can conceive a boy.

These are some of the techniques that you can try in conceiving a girl. As there is no 100% accuracy in all natural gender selection, it can surely and highly increase your chances in conceiving your dream baby girl.

How Does The Drano Gender Test Work?

For decades, baby gender selection method has been around buzzing the mind of many couples to have their dream baby. It makes it regular to have been on the web as a potential way to find out what gender selection method is suitable and may work to achieve it. Some methods might be true or it is just a baby gender myths. Theoretically, the drano gender test is said that it can detect the content of a pregnant woman’s urine that will change the colour of the drano to indicate the gender of your baby. However, this is a false fact and not recommended as a way in predicting baby gender. Most people use it just for fun to predict their baby gender.

The recipe for drano gender test is not advisable in many cases as the results are unreliable and drano mixed with urine will produce toxic fumes that may be dangerous for us inhaling them. Studies at a medical school took the test under chemical hoods wearing chemical masks because the possibility of fumes. However, as much as I’m concern,

  • The drano gender test should be performed after 4 months of pregnancy.
  • The test should be performed with 2 tablespoons of crystal drano using a medium glass jar with 2-3 ounces of urine.
  • With a rapid chemical reaction, observe the colour change of the mixture when it stops.
  • If the mixture darkens, it is going to be a boy.
  • If there is no darkening or colour change, it is a girl.

Some version of the drano gender test said that if the mixture bubbles up as urine is added, a boy will be conceived as to few or no bubbles, a girl will then is favoured.

There are still lots of people swearing that this method is true and offer their own personal experiences to back it up. After all it is up to us to trust it or not and there is nothing to lose if we try it. However, to sum up all of their told stories you hear and read still don’t add up to proof. No one seems to agree on how accurate is the interpretation of the results. Plus, it is all based more on assumptions rather than scientific sampling. Here are some of the interpretations made:

Bluish yellow = boy

Greenish brown = girl

Brownish = boy

No change = girl

Brown = boy

Green = girl

Black = boy

Blue = girl

Blue = boy

Green = girl

The drano gender test is not reliable as you will find many different variations of colours from interpretation of people rather than scientifically. Therefore, it is not the best way in predicting baby gender of your dreams in the future with no statistical review.
