How does it work? It is essentially based in the fact of the differences between sperm that there are two kinds of chromosomes that are responsible for gender selection. The Y-chromosome sperm is responsible for conceiving a boy while the X-chromosome sperm is responsible for conceiving a girl. The Y-chromosome sperm are small, quick and able to reach the egg very rapidly. The downside is they don't live very long and if they have to swim too far, they won't be able to complete their journey successfully. On the other hand, the X-chromosome sperm are much larger, and move quite a bit slower. However, they live a lot longer and have more endurance when it comes to reaching the egg.
Positions to conceive a boy
Since the Y-chromosome sperm need to reach the egg for this matter, positions that allow deep penetration are ideal; allowing man orgasm as closely as possible to the neck of the cervix. This will help the sperm to cover the distance more allowing it to reach their destination in time before they expire and dies off. It will reduce the amount of time and shortening the trip for the sperm to get to the egg.
Positions that facilitate this to happen include woman dominant, or woman on top as well as its other variation, commonly called Reverse Cowgirl. In these positions, the woman can control how deeply he penetrates her being astride of the man. At the moment of orgasm, the woman should allow the man inside as deeply as possible.
There are a few other positions such as rear entry or Doggy Style for deep penetration as well. As long as we are concern, the deeper the penetration at the moment of orgasm, the more likely you are to have a boy.
Positions to conceive a girl
In order to have a girl, you need to make it more difficult for the Y-chromosome sperm to reach their target on time. This means that positions where shallow penetration is achieved are necessary; where man should orgasm as far away from the neck of the cervix as possible. The sperm will be deposited further away from the cervix, giving the X-chromosome sperm the chance they need to reach the egg, and allowing the Y-chromosome sperm to die off.
Positions for shallow penetration include missionary, spooning and the lotus position where the couple wrap their legs around each other while sitting. The positions do not allow for deep penetration and the desired result of increasing the likelihood of having a girl can be achieved.

Make sure woman orgasm before a man in conceiving a boy where it changes the pH level near the cervix, making it more hospitable to the Y-chromosome sperm. The opposite is true in conceiving a girl.
